Heather Wen graduated with honors from San Francisco State University in 1991 where she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She returned to school to become a Nurse Practitioner and graduated in 1995. She then supervised Medical Staff and trained Nursing Students, Chinese Medicine Faculty, and Physician Assistants at a San Diego Clinic that was ranked number one among clinics of its kind in San Diego County. She moved to Arizona in 2005 and retired from her Nursing Practice in 2013.
Her interest in alternative medicine began with medical complications she was experiencing that were not resolved with traditional western medicine. Although skeptical, she was impressed with the effectiveness of alternative therapies. She committed to furthering her knowledge and has been trained to use Applied Kinesiology/Muscle Testing for Physical and Emotional Reprogramming and trained to perform Clinical Hypnosis. She also spent one year at the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (which changed its name to The Pacific College of Health & Science on 1/1/2020) to become familiar with eastern medicine philosophies.
