Holy Smoke! While our air quality is (at times) challenging to those with respiratory issues and even those without, these days with fire after fire, it poses even more of a challenge. When your cell phone reads, “Unhealthy Air Quality for Sensitive Individuals”, I have to admit that I’m pretty “sensitive” about wanting to breathe better quality air LOL. Be that as it may, I find one of the joys of my practice is picking up trends in the environment even before I’m made aware of them via the news. I purposely do not watch the news as I find it too upsetting. My friends know to let me know what is going on in the world if I need to know. When the horrible tragedy in Paradise, California occurred in 2018, all of the people I saw in the weeks after this event tested to clear poisons and toxins. Just in the past weeks when multiple fires broke out nearby, people’s bodies were testing for Spore and Mold corrections.
What do spores and mold have to do with fires? I really couldn’t tell you. Much to my surprise when writing this post, I discovered this NASA article: https://earthobservatory.nasa.gov/features/SmokeSecret/smoke_secret2.php. It discusses a scientist finding fungal/mold spores in the smoke caused by fires. Unbelievable! Once again, the brilliance of Victor Frank who created Total Body Modification (TBM) has blown me away (no pun intended) and created another AHA moment for me. In other words, Applied Kinesiology/Muscle Testing used in the framework of TBM that I use in my practice has picked up something scientists can prove exists. We know we live in an area that has Coccidioidomycosis fungal spores (or the spores that cause Valley Fever) in the soil. This study showed that fungal/mold spores of many kinds are carried in smoke as well.
Ok, so now what do you do?
Options for respiratory issues:
- For Asthma sufferers or “sensitive individuals”, it is often necessary to use an inhaler or breathing treatments to control symptoms.
- For some, anti-histamines can help.
- Applied Kinesiology/Muscle Testing can help provide corrections for the lungs, bronchial tubes, mold, spores, and even poisons and toxins that exist in our air pollution. It can also help the symptoms of allergies caused by the smoke, fungus, and/or mold.
I sincerely have to thank Victor Frank and the bodies of my patients who provide so much information regarding what is going on in our environment.
